PHP Backend Developer

Please note, this role can be remote or office-based.

We are looking for someone who can start right away.

The Role

In this role, you will have the chance to manage your own projects within a strong development team, working collaboratively on digital solutions and software underpinning award-winning websites across a range of industries.

Qualifications:

• Has at least 5 years industry experience as a PHP developer
• Is proficient in:
• PHP 8 (has at least worked with PHP 7)
• MySQL
• Javascript
• HTML / CSS (good knowledge of Sass would be a plus)
• Is passionate about creating engaging, interactive experiences
• Can write high quality, readable code efficiently
• Is experienced in working with external APIs
• Has experience working with version control, preferably git
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the backend of our web applications using PHP.
• Integrate external APIs to enhance the functionality of our applications.
• Collaborate with the frontend development team to ensure smooth integration between the frontend and backend.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and bugs.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
