Chris Curd Design are delighted to have received awards across a number of categories at this year’s WebAwards.
The team have gained recognition for three high-profile projects, collecting awards for their work with COINS (Computer Software Standard of Excellence), Byrne Group (Outstanding Website) and Bryden Wood. (Architecture Standard of Excellence). This is an exceptional achievement for Chris Curd Design, as well as for their clients.
COINS - Computer Software Standard of Excellence
Having developed a strong working relationship with COINS, Chris Curd Design have successfully designed the full brand identity for the business. The award of Computer Software Standard of Excellence was won as a result of strong scores across each criteria, namely for Copywriting, Design and Ease of Use.
The contemporary look and feel of the new site is in line with the COINS mission statement to “build value through innovation”. Each aspect of the site, from complimentary colour schemes to embedded media, has been meticulously developed to create a refined identity for the business.
Winning the award is an excellent achievement for the Chris Curd Design team, and a testament to the strength of the COINS brand.
Byrne Group – Oustanding Website
Chris Curd Design undertook a large and complex project to redesign the Byrne Group website. The end result is a sophisticated and intricate platform linking the Byrne Group and their subsidiary companies, Byrne Bros and Ellmer.
The site received high scores across the board, with notable marks for Design and Copywriting which were both rated at 9 out of 10, and for Innovation, Content, Technology and Interactivity, which all scored 8.5 out of 10.
Interactivity featured heavily in the redesign, with bold case studies and a variety of rich media. An informative user experience was developed by pairing digestible content with sleek hero images across each page. The newly designed site efficiently showcases the quality of the Byrne Group’s work, using innovative technology to allow seamless navigation.

Bryden Wood - Architecture Standard of Excellence
Chris Curd Design are excited to announce their success in winning the Architecture Standard of Excellence for their work with Bryden Wood, an Architecture and Design Consultancy.
The sleek, monochrome site features innovative design, as well as a functional and interactive platform to distinguish the Byrden Wood brand. Stunning visuals and smooth navigation create an exceptional user experience. The fully responsive mobile site allows customers to view the site on any device, increasing user enquiries and customer growth. The criteria that stood out for this award were Interactivity and Content, and this is clear to see when exploring the site.
