CCD Studios Clients: Inspirational responses to COVID-19

14 April 2020

The country has seen an overwhelming response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with companies and individuals alike coming together to support the people that need it most. During these difficult times, we’ve been made aware of countless initiatives offering assistance and support to vulnerable people, the elderly and key workers. These inspiring efforts have been prevalent both online and in the real world, and we’re doing as much as we can to share these acts of solidarity and kindness. Here at CCD Studios, we’re working to provide meals and essential shopping items for local elderly and vulnerable people. We’re really proud of the work that our clients are doing to improve the lives of people at the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as vulnerable people, those in need, and the rest of the country. Here are just some of the amazing things our clients have been doing:

A Boost for the Brave - This incredible initiative will deliver a weekly gift basket to a nominated staff member within Critical Care units across London. The CCD Studios team was tasked with designing and building the brand, as well as the website itself. We have completed this project as pro bono work, as we want to do all we can to support this cause. Nominated by the ITU matron each week, A Boost for the Brave will give something back to the people who need it most during this time, to say thank you to the frontline NHS workers keeping our nation safe. Visitors can donate towards a Boost for the Brave gift and Staff members can use the site to redeem their nominated box. You can find out more and donate via their website

Powerday & London Irish - London Irish Rugby Club have joined forces with recycling and waste management company Powerday, using their combined resources to deliver meals and vital equipment to hospitals across the UK’s capital. Chefs and volunteers at the London Irish Club Hazelwood Training Grounds are making meals which are transported around London to NHS staff. You can follow their incredible work using #poweringtheNHS or on instagram @Powering_The_NHS. Read more via the London Irish website here

COINS - COINS have partnered with the Lighthouse Construction Industry charity to deliver online webinars for construction workers facing mental health challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. COINS and the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity are working to educate the construction industry on how to recognise the signs and symptoms of stress, anxiety or depression and start the conversation to assist in recovery. Find our more and register for the free webinars on the COINS website here

Courtney Black - Courtney is keeping the nation moving! She is hosting free, live workouts on her instagram page every single day (at least once, if not more). Staying active while in isolation is not only great for the body, but also the mind. The workout sessions are hugely varied, suitable for many levels of fitness, and a large portion of the exercises require no equipment. Not got weights around the house? Courtney recommends using bottles of water or tins of food as a substitute so you can get fit from wherever you are. Follow Courtney via instagram @courtneydblack.

Mayday Healthcare -  Mayday Healthcare work closely with the Cavell Nurses’ Trust, who have announced a new fund for nurses and midwives facing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 virus. You can find out more and learn about applying for a grant here

During these unprecedented times, it’s encouraging to see people coming together to share their knowledge, leverage their resources and utilise infrastructure, to bring help to the people for whom COVID-19 is having the biggest and most drastic impact. If you or anyone you know could benefit from one of these programmes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
